Allstate roadside assistance for EVs covers a jump or a tow, not a roadside charge. In the Las Vegas Valley that still leaves you choosing. A mobile Level 2 operator quotes you before any work starts.

Two reasons an EV sits still in this heat

Your car can look dead for two separate reasons. The 12-volt battery runs the computers, locks, and screens. Valley heat wears that small battery down fast. NWS Las Vegas lists an average July high of 104.5F. About 78 days a year hit 100F or more. Downtown and the east valley can run 11F hotter than the rim. When that 12-volt cell quits, the car looks bricked. The traction pack can still hold range. A Tesla 12V jump at the car is the fix for that stall.

The other stall is an empty high-voltage pack. Cabin cooling draws about 3 to 5 kW in the heat, per Recurrent Auto. Recurrent found about 5% range loss at 90F, then 17 to 18% at 100F. AAA measured 8.5% range loss at 95F in May 2026. Don’t treat those test figures as Tesla’s own numbers. Tesla didn’t publish a range-loss figure we could verify. A Paradise resort lot can spend the last miles. So can a long sit at Harry Reid. The climb toward Summerlin at about 3,500 feet does the same.

Allstate’s plan treats those two stalls as different jobs.

What Allstate Motor Club actually sends

Allstate sells roadside as an add-on, and Allstate Motor Club runs the benefit. The toolkit matches a gas car: tire changes, lockouts, fuel delivery, jumps, and tows. Your EV gets that same list, nothing extra. There’s no EV charging gear in the standard benefit.

For a dead 12-volt, the contractor tries a jump on site. If the jump won’t hold, the next step is a tow. If the traction pack is empty, that truck still isn’t a charger. The club arranges a tow toward a shop. Or it tows you toward a place you can plug in. Power waits at the destination, not in the truck.

Ask the dispatcher for a flatbed before they roll. Most EVs need one so the drive unit stays off the pavement. Nevada tow operators need an NTA certificate under NRS 706.4463 and related sections. Ask the driver to show that NTA paperwork. This page doesn’t publish a tow rate for anyone. Non-consent prices sit in operator-filed tariffs under NAC 706.408. Allstate’s per-tow caps aren’t a public figure we could confirm. Open your declarations page, or call Allstate directly. Ask for covered tow miles and any cap on that tow.

A covered tow still leaves you sitting at a plug

A covered tow moves the car, and it doesn’t add range. After the hook you still wait through a charge session. On I-15, I-215, or a Paradise garage, people miss that extra sequence. See What towing a dead EV adds that a roadside charge does not. Compare Geico roadside for a dead EV in the Las Vegas Valley. Compare AAA or a mobile charger when your EV is empty.

NDOT’s Freeway Service Patrol covers the busiest valley freeways. Hours are 5:00am to 8:30pm, seven days a week. Quality Towing operates the patrol, and GEICO sponsors it. Motorists get tire changes, jumps, fuel, and traffic control at no charge from the patrol. NDOT’s published materials don’t advertise EV charging. Treat that patrol as freeway help, not a Level 2 truck.

A disabled car that can’t keep moving is exempt from the no-stopping rule. That’s NRS 484B.440, and the statute sets no time limit. After 24 hours on a freeway, NRS 484B.443 lets troopers treat the car as abandoned. The owner pays that removal, so don’t wait that long. Nevada has no toll roads on I-15, I-215, US-95, or I-11. None of that changes what Allstate will plug into.

What a mobile Level 2 stop does instead

A mobile EV charging call is a different job. The independent operator we connect you with comes to the car. That truck brings a 240-volt Level 2 source. Teslas take a native NACS plug on that truck. Other brands use a CCS or J1772 adapter. Typical charging time adds about 10 to 20 miles in 15 to 30 minutes. That’s charging time, not a promise of when someone arrives. The operator quotes you before starting, then bills you directly. Charge Pro LV doesn’t own the truck or set the price.

Charge, jump, and tow are different jobs. Read Your electric car died: should you charge, jump, or tow. See How a mobile EV charging quote works when you stall.

Summerlin sits near 3,500 feet, rising toward 4,400 near Red Rock. The valley floor sits about 2,000 to 2,920 feet. The Strip sits in unincorporated Paradise, not the City of Las Vegas. Winchester sits outside the city limits as well. You get the same Allstate coverage on different pavement. Allegiant Stadium lots in Paradise fill after Raiders and UNLV games. None of those places change the Allstate toolkit. They only change where you’re standing when you make the next call.

Keep Allstate for the jobs it already handles

Keep the Allstate roadside add-on on the policy. It’s the right call for a flat on I-15. It’s the right call for a lockout at Town Square. It’s the right call when the car needs a shop. Save the mobile charge for an EV that’s otherwise fine. Those are two different tools, and you can hold both.

Frequently asked questions

Does Allstate roadside charge an EV on the spot?

No, an empty pack is a tow to a charging location or a shop. Standard Allstate roadside doesn’t include on-site charging gear.

Who shows up after you call Allstate for an EV?

Allstate Motor Club dispatches a contracted provider. It’s the same network used for gas cars. Ask for a flatbed if the car has to be towed.

What’s Allstate’s towing distance limit on an EV?

It depends on the roadside tier on your policy. Check your policy or call Allstate. Don’t assume a mile cap from someone else’s plan.

Call Charge Pro LV at (702) 935-4699 for a mobile quote. We’ll connect you with a local operator who quotes before any charging starts.
