EV roadside assistance near Nellis and Sunrise means a mobile operator at your bumper. This isn’t a Strip garage stall with staff walking by. It’s the northeast edge around Nellis Air Force Base. East-valley heat, base traffic, and older housing stack the stall. Charge Pro LV connects you with independent local rescue operators. They bring 240V Level 2 charging to the car. They quote you before any cable goes on.

Why a Nellis stall isn’t a Strip parking problem

Nellis sits on the northeast valley around the air base. It isn’t a separate Census place, so we don’t publish a population. ZIP codes 89115 and 89156 mark this edge. Sunrise Manor shares the same hot east side. A dead EV here sits off the Strip-side parking pattern.

Resort lots have cameras, valets, and constant turnover. These residential blocks don’t have that kind of audience. Base traffic comes in waves around shift changes. A commuter headed to a job across town starts already thin. The trip computer still shows a cool-weather number. Heat and the morning climb spend that margin before lunch.

Nellis Air Force Base sits about eight miles northeast of the central valley. If you’re on a public street in 89115 or 89156, we serve that area. The Nellis and Sunrise location page maps this same northeast edge.

Harry Reid International Airport sits in Paradise, not here. The west rim around Summerlin sits near 3,500 feet. The valley floor runs about 2,000 to 2,920 feet. NWS notes the east valley can run hotter than the rim. Downtown and this east side can run up to 11F hotter. You’re on the hot side of that split.

East-valley heat and a display that still looks fine

KLAS climate normals put the average July high at 104.5F. About 78 days a year reach 100F or more. About 9.4 days reach 110F or more. The all-time record high is 120F on July 7, 2024.

Recurrent Auto measured about 5% range loss at 90F. At 100F, that loss rose to 17 to 18%. Cooling a hot cabin drew 3 to 5 kW. Holding an already cool cabin drew about 1 kW. AAA in May 2026 measured 8.5% range loss at 95F. Don’t treat those lab figures as Tesla numbers. Tesla hasn’t published a range-loss figure we could cite.

Air conditioning isn’t optional on a 104F commute. It’s a continuous draw while you sit in traffic. Base gates crawl, and so do across-town arterials. Miles disappear as heat, not as highway speed. You can leave home with a comfortable buffer. You can still come up short on the return.

July and August bring monsoon flooding in washes and underpasses. If standing water is around the car, stay put and wait.

Older housing, NV Energy, and a morning with no overnight miles

The local research on this edge is plain. Base traffic, older housing, and east-valley heat combine. Clark County Title 30 requires EV-ready wiring in new construction. A Level 2 home charger needs an electrical permit. Older houses don’t become EV-ready because a car showed up.

We couldn’t confirm panel sizes for 89115 and 89156. Don’t guess panel amps we couldn’t verify here. If last night’s charge didn’t stick, treat the car as short. Check the outlet, the schedule, and the car’s app first. Then decide whether you need miles at the bumper.

NV Energy serves Sunrise Manor, North Las Vegas, and Las Vegas. That’s the utility on this northeast edge. Boulder City Utilities and the rural co-ops don’t apply here. NV Energy’s Residential Electric Vehicle Recharge Rider is a time-of-use rate. The EV charging window is 10:01pm to 8:00am. NV Energy also runs a Residential Managed Charging Program. That handbook was revised on July 29, 2026. This site doesn’t publish dollar figures for those programs. Confirm the current rate with NV Energy before you enroll.

Nevada doesn’t have a state EV purchase rebate or tax credit. AFDC and the Governor’s Office of Energy both show that absence. Nevada also doesn’t have an EV-specific registration surcharge. None of that moves a car that’s already empty. For apartment parking on this side, start with our Sunrise Manor apartment note.

What a mobile rescue actually puts on the car

Charge Pro LV is a referral line for stranded drivers. We match you with independent local mobile rescue operators. We don’t perform the work, and we don’t send our own crew. We don’t own trucks, employ technicians, or set prices. We don’t promise an arrival time, and we don’t publish hours.

The operator quotes you before any work starts. The operator bills you directly for the visit.

Operators bring a 240V Level 2 source to the car. Tesla and other NACS cars take a native NACS plug. Everyone else gets a CCS or J1772 adapter. A typical session adds 10 to 20 miles of range. That takes 15 to 30 minutes of charging. Remember, that’s charging time, never travel time.

They can jump or replace a dead 12V battery on site. They handle Tesla and every major EV brand. If the car is silent, start with the Tesla 12V jump path. If the screens still work and the pack is empty, use out-of-charge recovery. CCS and J1772 drivers should ask for non-Tesla EV rescue. That way the adapter is already on the truck.

Mobile EV charging is the same idea on any east-valley curb. You’re buying enough range to reach the next plug you choose.

Shoulder law, the patrol, and a tow you may not want yet

If you can roll to a side street, do that. NRS 484B.440 exempts a vehicle that’s disabled and can’t avoid stopping. The statute sets no time limit for remaining there. NRS 484B.443 still lets law enforcement remove a disabled or abandoned vehicle. On freeways and primary highways, abandoned means 24 hours. On other roads, the abandoned mark is 72 hours. The owner pays the removal bill under that statute.

The NDOT Freeway Service Patrol works the busiest valley freeways. Quality Towing operates it, and GEICO sponsors it. Hours are 5:00am to 8:30pm, seven days a week. The patrol is free to motorists who are stopped. Services include tire changes, jump starts, and fuel. They also do minor fire suppression and traffic control. Statewide it clears about 55,000 incidents a year. About 31,500 of those are in Las Vegas. NDOT’s published patrol materials don’t mention electric vehicles. They also don’t mention EV charging or EV-specific service. Treat that as missing advertising, not a refusal to stop. Take traffic control if a patrol truck offers it. Don’t expect a Level 2 charge from that truck.

Nevada 511 and nvroads.com show closures, cameras, and conditions. Tow companies on rotation need a Nevada Transportation Authority certificate. Non-consent rates are operator-filed tariffs under NAC 706.408. There’s no single statewide maximum published here. Confirm the tow price with that company before you sign. A mobile charge quote is a separate conversation with the rescue operator.

Nevada doesn’t have toll roads, express lanes, or transponders. I-15, I-215, CC-215, US-93, US-95, and I-11 are free.

12V failure versus an empty pack

From the sidewalk, both failures look like a dead car. One is the traction pack sitting at zero. The other is the small 12V battery going flat. That 12V runs locks, computers, and the contactors that connect the pack. If it’s flat, the car won’t unlock. It won’t boot, and it won’t accept a charge.

Valley heat is rough on that small battery. Geotab found hot-climate packs degrade about 0.4% per year faster. Phoenix-style desert heat was the worst case they studied. The 12V lives in the same cabin and bay heat. Don’t keep mashing the fob in the heat. Tell the operator if the car is fully dark. Tell them if a range number still shows.

For the wider valley sequence, use the 2026 Las Vegas Valley rescue guide. Get the failure mode right before you pick a fix.

What to share so the operator can work

Stay out of live lanes and keep the hazards on. Give ZIP 89115 or 89156 and a map pin. Read the nearest street sign you can see. Name the make, the model, and the charge port. Say whether you think it’s 12V or an empty pack.

Public charger counts for Clark County couldn’t be verified for this page. The NREL station feed was down on September 18, 2026. We won’t invent a nearest stall, and we won’t guess a distance. After a mobile top-off, you pick the next plug with your own apps.

If factory roadside is already on the ticket, that’s a separate path. The local operator still quotes their own work.

Frequently asked questions

Does Charge Pro LV serve Nellis and Sunrise?

Yes, we serve the Las Vegas Valley, and this northeast edge is included. We connect you with an independent local operator. We don’t claim to roll our own fleet.

How long does the charge take at the car?

Once hooked up, a charge usually adds 10 to 20 miles. That takes 15 to 30 minutes on the cable. That’s cable time, not time on the road. The operator quotes you before they start work. We don’t publish arrival times for any neighborhood.

What if my Tesla won’t unlock after sitting in the heat?

A dead 12V will lock you out like that. The pack may still have energy you can’t reach. Ask for a 12V jump or replacement on site. Charge the pack after the computers wake, if you still need miles.

For a stall on this east-valley edge, call Charge Pro LV at (702) 935-4699. We’ll connect you with a local operator for the visit. They’ll quote the visit before any work starts.
